Blistering pagan incantations sent to shatter your soul. Personally, when I listen to black metal there's often an element lacking the grit, or inspired touch, needed to envelope you in the atmosphere imparted by the song title or album asthetic, making it hard to accentuate your own mood or surroundings and get truly lost: not here though. The vocals punctuate the lyrics with intent, the guitars weave sharp crystallised ambience and the drums kick you hard in the ribcage. Pure & simply elite.

Swartadauþuz ne fait jamais deux fois la même chose et ce même dans un projet aussi direct qu'Azelisassath. Si le groupe est toujours habité par une puissance maléfique, Evil Manifestations Against Mankind est plus désespéré que le premier album. Swartadauþuz se retrouve seul cette fois-ci et son jeu à la guitare est plus aigu et atmosphérique (il se rapproche de ce qu'on peut entendre dans Bekëth Nexëhmü), nous plongeant dans un abîme de noirceur. Son chant discret est cadavérique. Très fort !
